What is a “cottage baker”?
I am a registered business with the state of Indiana and am permitted to bake out of my home kitchen. I am not inspected by the health department. I do hold a Food Safe (ServSafe) certification and have 6 years experience working in restaurants prior to Weirdough Cookie Co.
Nut Allergy Notice
While most of my cookie recipes do not contain nuts, my kitchen is not a nut-free facility. Ingredients with nuts may be present, and all cookies are prepared using shared equipment and surfaces. Because of this, I cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from trace amounts of nuts. These bakes are not recommended for those with severe nut allergies.
Gluten-Free Friendly Notice
While I do offer gluten-free cookie options by request, please note that my kitchen is not a certified gluten-free facility. All cookies are made in a space that also processes wheat, so trace amounts of gluten may still be present. These bakes are best for those with mild sensitivities, not those with celiac disease or severe allergies.
Allergen Notice While I offer both gluten-free and nut-free cookie options by request, please note that my kitchen is not a certified allergen-free facility. All cookies are prepared in a space that also processes wheat, nuts, dairy, and other common allergens. This means trace amounts of allergens may still be present. These treats are best enjoyed by those with mild sensitivities, not those with severe allergies.
